Generative AI is revolutionizing the digital world by enabling machines to create human-like content, including text, images, music, and even code. Unlike traditional AI, which follows predefined rules, Generative AI uses deep learning models like GPT and DALL·E to generate new and unique outputs based on patterns in existing data.
This technology is transforming industries, from automating content creation and enhancing customer support to generating realistic artwork and simulations. Businesses leverage it for personalized marketing, while creatives use it for inspiration and design.
One key feature of Generative AI is its ability to produce high-quality, original content, mimicking human creativity. However, ethical concerns such as misinformation and bias require careful management. As AI advances, its role in shaping the future of digital content creation continues to grow, offering endless possibilities while demanding responsible use.

it's interesting how 'fact check' and 'vet your sources' seem to be the correct course of action only when it's about things we don't agree with isn't it

I really hate where I see fandom going with AI.
I don't want to see AI-generated writing or art, period. But it's going to get harder and harder to tell as AI improves.
Which also means that newer writers/artists who write "too good" or "too weird" will be under immediate suspicion. Which means some genuine creators will feel frozen out.
It just paints a dire picture of fandom.

Thinking about this one guy justifying ai art with something like “go ahead and make your art but the bar is raised now” and it’s like buddy the bar is lowered now thanks to you
#‘more quality art means you artists have higher expectations now oooh why not give up and convert to the slop machine’ buddy you are showing#that some people can’t even bother to make effort that surface level quality means nothing people who care are infinitely more impressive#like if you ever feel bad about your art know that the fact that you even bothered to pick up a pencil makes you infinitely better and more#respectable than the people with a lack of critical thinking skills like idgaf if your microwave meal looks good because it stole fromactual#good art your stuff means nothing other than a churned out piece of content to consume and throw away and you can’t even call yourself Ann#artist because you didn’t do anything than write adjectives and hit the random image generator built off actual artists work#and since all ai art can only mimic actual art there is never going to be anything ai does that an artist cant to better#so like the bar literally can’t be raised because it’s already been done before#thinking about since commissioning just produces better art and there straight up isn’t any thought or meaning to make ai art worthwhile#as it only creates amalgamations of what it thinks looks good ai art on a fundamental level can only be used for meaningless slop#and maybe tools for artists but there are other non-generative alternatives with less moral problems sooooooo#everyone including the White House posting ai ghibli stuff not knowing r caring that they were the villain in all their stories the irony#tempestmothtalk#sorry sorry generative ai just makes me see red

The type of genAI defender whose reasoning seems to be "Capitalism is bad and therefore all labor, including art, should simply be automated out of existence because labor is a product of Capitalism" is sending me.
Y'all, we don't need to automate enjoyable things. People do art as labor because they like doing art. What is so hard to understand about this?

maybe i'm insane but this is just genuinely so sad. like truly and genuinely sad i feel bad for her it isn't Fun to be addicted to social media, it isn't Fun to call yourself "maybeimnotsmart" online (idk if that's made up for the article tbc and idrc its definitely real for Someone out there), it isn't Fun to feel like you don't know how to do anything at all without the help of a machine. it sucks. and i do genuinely believe we can recover from this but we do need to start addressing being Actually Addicted to your phone because of how life is and how we can work our way back out of it
(https://archive.is/7yQqX is the article in question im new to tumblr i dont know how to link things properly i hope thats ok)

sucks that that guy scraped ao3 but idk. people like him are always gonna exist. there will always be stuff to scrape off the internet but idk. i can't consciously archive lock my works. partially because its so difficult to get an account now but also because I don't think I should have to lock my works. i don't think other people should have to suffer because of a couple scalpers trying to make a quick buck. and ofc I understand people who do archive lock their works, plagiarism isn't fun or good and you can take the time to get a free account and it's hunky dory, but open and accessible fanfic and fandom have done so so much for me I can't justify locking mine. idk. also this is just gonna keep happening and at some point the scalpers are gonna make accounts and then there you go anyway. so.

man. i really don’t care about robots.
#like in any media ever#idc if in detroit become human the robots can feel. bc tbh im like ‘no they can’t they’re robots’#like i just don’t think any piece of technology will ever gain sentience ever. so i dont care. throw that fucker away.#does this make sense???#i can’t think of anything less sexy than the cold hard embrace of a machine that operates from the will of doing what it thinks it wants to#i just don’t care for it but props to ppl who do. i can’t.#i think in general inorganicconcepts in the context of human intimate relationships is just so fundamentally unappealing to me#like idk. it’s probably just me.#i think it’s also the idea (in robot/human pairings) that it can never be /real/ in the ways that matters#or that most of the times robots are a substitute for grief over someone lost#or that they’re uncanny imposters#interesting ideas for sure but i can never really be into them as characters onto their own#like i dont care about their identity to me they’re identitiless chameleons who are by design always trying to replicate something else.#something or someone they were made for#they don’t have autonomy they will never have true autonomy because something in them is designed to alter them to a desired state#i also think with like current affairs with ai and whatnot it just sours the idea even more#part of it is also I dont think robots/the Machine’s (capital M) issues will ever feel tangible to me#a lot of robots in media have their struggles focused on identity and autonomy and i alr dismiss the notion that robots can ever gain#enough awareness to feel#so what does that leave me to care about?#plus i find most robot designs really lame…#sorry if u like robots btw i just needed somewhere to put my thoughts 🥹 if u do good for u#personal.txt#i’ll see if this opinion holds up with m/etal sonic lol#i know he’s a fan favourite

the pro-ai reaction to the reaction had correct points about copyright law that a large part of this ostensibly pro-piracy and anti-megacorp dominated media website had bizarrely decided to disregard in favor of "whatever most benefits indie illustrators working on commission is what's morally right" but also at this point I feel like a lot of them have started huffing their own supply in the form of "whatever most benefits generative ai building is what's morally right." probably I should just stop spending so much time on a website full of 20 year olds

Gravity’s Quantum Nature: Uncovering the Secrets of the Hierarchy Problem
One of the most influential theories of gravity is general relativity, proposed by Albert Einstein in 1915. According to this theory, gravity is not a force acting between objects, but rather a curvature of spacetime caused by the presence of mass and energy. This curvature affects the motion of objects, causing them to follow curved paths, which we experience as the gravitational force. General relativity has been incredibly successful in predicting the behavior of gravity in a wide range of situations, from objects falling on Earth to the bending of light around massive objects.
However, general relativity also has its limits. One of the greatest challenges for modern physics is the hierarchy problem, i.e. the enormous discrepancy between the strength of gravity and the other fundamental forces. The hierarchy problem arises from the fact that the force of gravity is much weaker than the other fundamental forces, such as electromagnetism and the strong and weak nuclear forces.
The strength of the gravitational force between two objects is determined by the product of their masses and the gravitational constant G. However, the strength of the other fundamental forces is determined by other constants, such as the fine structure constant for electromagnetism and the Fermi constant for the weak nuclear force. The hierarchy problem arises from the fact that the gravitational constant is much smaller than the other fundamental constants, making gravity much weaker than the other forces. On the scale of atomic nuclei, where the strong and weak nuclear forces dominate, the gravitational force is completely negligible. However, on larger scales, such as the scale of galaxies and galaxy clusters, gravity becomes the dominant force, shaping the large-scale structure of the universe.
The hierarchy problem poses a major challenge to modern physics because it is difficult to explain why the gravitational constant is so much smaller than the other fundamental constants. One possible solution to the hierarchy problem is the idea of extra dimensions, which assumes that the gravitational force is not a four-dimensional force, but a force acting in higher-dimensional spaces. This idea is supported by theories such as string theory and the Kaluza-Klein theory.
In their research, Claudia de Rham and her colleagues have examined the implications of massive gravity theories for our understanding of the hierarchy problem. Massive gravity theories assume that gravity is not a massless force, but rather a force mediated by a massive particle, the graviton. This idea has been shown to provide a consistent and well-defined description of gravity in the infrared range, the range relevant to our everyday experience. In addition, de Rham's research has also examined the implications of massive gravity theories for our understanding of the large-scale structure of the universe. By analyzing data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and the cosmic microwave background radiation, de Rham and her colleagues have shown that massive gravity theories can provide a good agreement with the observed data while solving the hierarchy problem.
Research by Claudia de Rham and her colleagues has shown that theories of massive gravity can provide a consistent and well-defined description of gravity in a wide variety of situations.

{Okay, I have a few of you now, so I think I should clear the air of some things before going forward, and I hope everyone gets a chance to see this because I def don't want to disappoint anyone!}
{So, TLDR: I don't know a lot about FFVII and I don't have an FFVII verse for any of my muses, therefore if you need me to have any specific information going forward I'll have to take some spoilers. I won't be playing the newer games at all, most likely.}
{I've noticed I've gotten a few FFVII muses following me lately, and I am so happy that so many of you want to write with me! However, my knowledge on FFVII, especially as it exists now, is preeetty limited. I own but have not played the original game. I got it some time ago and tucked it away for when I finished my other FF games, then never got around to it. When the first FFVII Remake came out on PS4, we got that one, and we were very excited to play it. We also own and have seen Advent Children maybe a dozen times now. And the only game I've ever played to completion was Dirge of Cerberus.}
{But even with all of this, aalll of the information from any amount of media I had concerning FFVII. Gone. Completely. I don't remember the first thing about it, legitimately. Even the first part of the Remake. Gone. I don't know, y'all. I barely even remember FFXVI at this point. And while I do want to eventually get around to playing the original game and the other games that I already own again at some point, Sibling and I have been keeping it in the backlog for a time when we have time to play a Final Fantasy marathon like we did with the Kingdom Hearts and Zelda games, and that's going to take a while. I probably won't be freshening my knowledge of the games up for a good long while.}
{In addition, I won't be buying or playing any Final Fantasy or other Square Enix games going forward. Even if I do ever manage to get my hands on a PS5, I'm not doing it. I just don't feel comfortable with SE's current business practices, and I don't want to support them, even knowing how many folks probably still will. I just don't want to do it knowing now that they used Midjourney on one of their games. So I won't be learning anything about the revised version of FFVII, and I hear that there are some things that are quite different. If y'all need me to know about that stuff, you'll just have to spoil me about it, unfortunately. As much as I would like to play for myself and learn about it, I just don't know that it's safe to do so. I don't know if I could get away with buying the games on the aftermarket or if SE uses the initial launch updates in their analytics. If anyone knows something about that, feel free to let me know, but this is the state of things until I know that SE is going to let AI go and stop using it.}
{This was an awful lot just to say that my knowledge on FFVII is pretty limited, but I hope you guys are still okay with writing with me anyway. I'm going to do my best to give you guys a good experience even with my limited knowledge, I just wanted to give you a heads up on how fairly unlikely it is that I'll be able to keep up with FFVII lore for the meantime.}
